Monterey Baptist Church has a vision to:

     Make Christ known.

- Monterey Baptist was part of the Texas Hope 2010, Prayer, Care and Share outreach.
- October 2010, Monterey Baptist helped in putting a roof on New Millenium Church.
- In February 2011, our youth cook enough meals for 1500 people at the Salvation Army.
- In March 2011, our college students served pancakes to over 4500 college students nightly at Beach Reach in South Padre Island.
- In June 2011, a mission team went to Casa Grande, AZ and helped roof and repair two churches that were in need.
- June 2011, our Vacation Bible School was a success with 194 kids and teachers in attendance.

          Become like Him.

- Our student ministry has two discipleship groups:
    · 5:51 - A Disciplemaking Class for students grades 6-12.
    · Catalyst Bible Study - A Disciplemaking Bible Study for college students.
- We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
- We have three different men's discipleship groups that are meeting regularly to encourage one another and grow in their walk with Christ.

               Connect With Others.

- Our Sunday Morning Worship Service is geared for believers to invite their friends and family to an upbeat, Biblically practical time of worship and preaching.
- Our annual church picnic in August usually draws over 200 adults, youth, and children for volleyball, tailgate golf, and food.
- Many of our Sunday School classes perform ministry projects throughout the community from washing windows, home repairs, and park clean-up.
- In January 2011 we had our annual Chili Cookoff where we had fun and fellowship with our church family and friends.
- March 2011 we had a Pinewood Derby taking place with 125 participants signed up.
